oloache is the folk name for Datura innoxia, a member of the nightshade family. This is a traditional preparation intended for magical uses. It is a combination of red wine infused with datura. These are made in Mexico where toloache has an important cultural significance. This herb is of ceremonial important across southwestern North America and Mexico. While the plant does have ceremonial significance among indigenous peoples throughout the area it has a darker reputation as well. In some parts of Mexico it is associated with “bad sorcery” and has a reputation for causing insanity It is feared and respected everywhere it is known. It is used in brujeria in magical powders, oils, ointments and bath additives. One of its main uses is in love magic. However, this is more of a dominant, lusty, manipulative and seductive kind of love magic (which can be great with a willing partner)
The reverse side reads “se le da a tomar a la persona 8 gotas cada tercer dia. para que esa persona se ingre de una manera incontrolable que siempre haga nuestra voluntad.”
This translates to “give the person 8 drops every third day to keep them in an agreeable state in order to do your will” This is an example of the more manipulative side of datura, and we do not condone interfering with the will of others magically or otherwise.
Datura is also used in divination, healing, and harmful magic.
