“The Bell Jar: Decay”

Been working on this personal piece for a while but thrilled how it finalized. It was a battle for a bit and sometimes I’ve found I need to let it breathe. It feels like this one was an accumulation of my reflection of this year. Trying to preserve the memories of adventure, not crumble under the weight of societal expectations and pressures and making a new living from the art of the dead. What started as a concept to just draw a series of oddities and gothic armor became subconsciously spirited.
This piece was made with graphite, conte’ pencil, and ink traditionally and then edited digitally.
A signed 11x14 in. print in a plastic sleeve and shipped with backing board for support.
